Language Requirements
The majority of teaching at Scuola di Scienze Politiche "Cesare Alfieri" is carried out in Italian and tutors must be convinced that you have sufficient fluency in written and spoken Italian to cope with your course from the beginning. Therefore, before arriving as an exchange student at Scuola di Scienze Politiche "Cesare Alfieri" it is required to have at least a B1 level in Italian according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages".
The Scuola di Scienze Politiche "Cesare Alfieri" offers a wide range of units taught in English and all incoming students (both bachelor and Master students) can choose those units, but a B2 level in English is required. At your arrival in Florence, you can attend a free Italian Language Course at the CENTRO LINGUISTICO DI ATENEO – CLA.
Please note that the Italian Language Course is not an academic exam and does not provide ECTS credits or mark, so it cannot be added to your Learning Agreement.
Please note that all language courses offered by CLA start from the A2 level upwards, considering the basic A1 level as established.
